It is clear to me that on a lot of levels my husband and I do not share the same values. This has been VERY evident over our years together. This makes it very difficult to have a godly marriage. I am trying to move past the desire to get a divorce and the regret of staying with him when lies he told were revealed. There are good things about the relationship, but really hard to be connected to someone who compromises and believes differently than you. Please pray for The Holy Spirit to help me continue to work on and focus on what needs to be refined in me, I know I need Jesus and I need to change, too. But I am not hopeful he will ever change nor will our relationship grow past the differences we have, and the compromises and areas he needs to grow in because I don’t see any efforts being made by him. I have released the hope and the idea that things will get better and have accepted he may never change. I just need help from The Holy Spirit to let it go once again and to not let it distract me from being obedient to Him. I feel like I am walking through this alone and I need to know God is there. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
